What Licavio is (and isn't)
Licavio is an Evidence Custodian. It collects, preserves, structures, and presents the license evidence you already hold. It is not a licensor and not a legal service.
Licavio does
- archives license evidence
- preserves metadata
- calculates integrity hashes (SHA-256)
- organizes licenses by project
- maps licenses to projects and publications
- exports evidence packages
Licavio does not
- grant licenses
- authenticate or verify the documents you upload
- certify ownership
- provide legal advice
- guarantee the validity of third-party licenses
- guarantee acceptance by YouTube or any other platform
The final terms of any license are governed by each provider's agreement. Licavio never accesses your provider account with your password or cookies — connections use official OAuth, or you upload your own certificates.
